our “School Educational Camps”. We believe that we offer an active
interesting camp where both personal and group developments are catered for. We hope
that you will consider our camp for the following reasons:
ALL DAYTIME ACTIVITIES ARE RUN BY GUMNUTS STAFF and include Horse
riding, Orienteering, Group Co-operation/Team Development, Flying Fox, Bush lore, Camp
fire and Star Identification, Hand milking cows, fishing, yabbying, swimming pool, possum,
lorikeet and baby animal feeding, Whip cracking and Boomerang throwing. (Horse
riding is by your choice only, we can run camps without)
RISK MANAGEMENT – Our Horse riding Staff carry qualifications
recognised by VETEC and we can provide you with a COMPLETED RISK ANALYSIS ASSESSMENT
as per DOEM Module 10/81, 10/12
We Comply with The Education Departments Manual, HEALTH AND SAFETY
HS.01 for Horse riding. (We have been running School Camps for 10 years, without
any child being seriously injured)
Apart from all of this, Horse riding is a GREAT OUTDOOR, HEALTHY SPORT,
which has a strong historical evocative symbolism for many Students who really enjoy it
and usually learn a great deal about themselves.
VERY AFFORDABLE TARIFF – Our Fully Catered Tariff for a 3
Day/2 Night Camp is $93 for Primary and $99 for seniors, and an extra Day is only
$20. Optional “Day Trips” can be arranged to O’Reilly’s,
Lamington National Park, as a cost of $15 a head. Please add $5 per head
per visit “Insurance Levy”. All staff at a ration of 1 : 10 is no
charge.
We can accommodate up to 100 Students
and Staff
MENU – All our Food is home
cooked, nutritional and includes 3 hot meals a day, Dinners include, Roast meals, Chicken
Honey Soy etc, we are FAMOUS for our COOKIES.
Our accommodation is comfortable and set
in gardens with a pool in the bush on a 128 acre Farm in the Mountains, only 1 hour from
Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
